Google's Android 5.0 Lollipop update ushered new updates and features for people to try out. While majority of users may need to wait for the complete roll out of the firmware across all Android manufacturers, they can try out different updated features through APK downloads. Plus, a number of Android 5.0 Lollipop tips and tricks may help prepare users for Google's biggest OS revamp yet.

People can now download the updated Google Keyboard app through an apk access. According to Droid Life, the new keyboard program features the latest touch from Android 5.0 Lollipop's Material Design. Likewise, the 4.0.3 edition offers light and dark themes. This lets people match the theme of their devices depending on their color preference.

As for the new Android 5.0 Lollipop update, Google has not finished the roll out but more manufacturers are joining in. Here are some tips and tricks to help prepare users for the next big Android OS change:

Get Rid of Lock Screen notifications - for people who do not like the constant flashes of notifications via their home screen, there is a way to stop it according to Forbes. To turn off the feature, click on Settings > Sound & Notification > When Device is Locked. Tap on "don't show notifications at all".

Smart Lock - people can also unlock their units through an NFC enabled device or Bluetooth. When the smart lock feature is enabled, people can open their handset so long as the device is near the enabled unit. Do the following to turn on the feature: Settings > Security > Smart Lock then register the Bluetooth component.

Flappy Clone - another interesting bit from Forbes says that Google has included a Flappy Clone easter egg game well within the Lollipop system. To access the hidden feature, go to Settings > About Tablet. Tap on the "Android version" several times and wait for the lollipop to appear. Press on the lollipop for quite some until the game starts.
