PlayStation 4 is all set to be available for sale in November 2013. This announcement by Sony results in a face-off situation for the company against their big time competitor, Microsoft.

PlayStation, a next-gen game console, is going to be available for sale in 32 countries during its launch period. The U.S. will be introduced to PS 4 on Nov 15, while Europe will have the privilege on Nov 29. Asian countries like India will not have the pleasure of having PS 4 for sale for the time being. The official launch of PS 4 may happen a month after it is launched in Europe.

The launch of the same also means that Sony is going head to head with his rival Microsoft. Even though Microsoft is yet to announce the release date of the Xbox One, it has been confirmed that 13 countries, including Ireland will get the same in November itself.

PS 4 is going to cost €399 in Europe, as declared at the Gamescom exhibition in Germany. The user interface was displayed by the company at the press conference. It was also announced that there would be a drop of price for both PS 3 (12GB) and PlayStation Vita. Both are going to be available for €199.

There was another announcement which said that the company would share strategic collaboration with the biggest telecom providers in Europe. The purpose behind the same is to improve gaming online through the PS platform. The companies which are going to collaborate with Sony in Europe include Orange, Virgin, ONO and Deutsche Telekom.

New Xbox games will include Battlefield 4 (EA), Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag (Ubisoft) and Dead Rising 3 (Capcom). Some of Microsoft's own titles like Forza Motorsport 5 along with 3rd party franchises like Call of Duty and FIFA 14 will also be available.

On the other hand, it has been predicted by Mark Cerny that it is going to be a gaming renaissance in terms of the gaming console. The lead architect of PS 4 announced the launch of Minecraft, War Thunder and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. This is said to be the strongest launch line-up in the history of PlayStation.
