Facebook Dislike Button Is Not What You Expect It to Be
The Dislike Button that everyone is anticipating in Facebook is not what everyone was expecting. Instead of the Like similar button, with a thumb-down sign maybe, Facebook introduce six new emoji buttons, each representing a particular feeling, The Independent reports.
People are speculating that this newest Facebook feature will soon be used on October 9, 2015. Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO, has hinted last month that more likely, the Like button will be expanded rather than using an Unlike button which can actually be vulnerable to abuse.
For most Facebbook users, a Dislike button is a must to express disgust, hatred or similar reaction to people who are constantly uploading ‘trash’ particularly selfies and claptrap posts that do nothing but clog up Facebook feed.
But despite the clamor for a Dislike button, Zuckerberg has vetoed an actual ‘Dislike’ button as it might only promote bullying and hostility in Facebook-dom. Instead, the company is offering six reaction buttons (more like an emojis, really): ‘Love’, ‘Haha’, ‘Yay’, ‘Wow’, ‘Sad’ and ‘Angry’ to be added next to the Like button.
The six reaction buttons will be added next to the Like button, just like what you see down below, so actually, it is quite different from the conventional emojis. Same with the Like button, these new reaction buttons will easily allow you to get a more detailed picture of what people think of your holiday snaps or that numerous selfies you’ve just uploaded.
Official words say, the website will test the feature in Spain and Ireland. They claim that allowing Spain to have the feel of the feature first will give Facebook an idea how foreign countries use the feature.
