Facebook Goes Offline: Twitter Users Post FB Jokes after FB Crashes
Facebook went down for many users across the world. Users were not able to log in to their account on the popular social networking site. After entering Facebook.com in the address bar, a message appeared - "Sorry, something went wrong. We are working on getting this fixed as soon as we can." Meanwhile, Twitter users had fun at the expense of Facebook. They tweeted FB jokes after the crash.
On the Facebook error page, a 'Go Back' button appeared underneath the message that redirected the user to the previous page or the login page. However, when the user tried to log in again, the same error message appeared, again.
In addition the Web app, the Facebook app for Android and iOS were also unable to load any news feed.
Users took to Twitter to find out why Facebook went offline.

A user also tweeted that 3 people died as Facebook went down.
Breaking: 3 people died because Facebook went down, and they didn't get enough likes on 1Like=1Prayer on their picture. It's horrible.

After 30 minutes, Facebook users were able to login, again, but the 30 minute crash created a panic-like situation as users wondered has gone wrong with Facebook. According to some reports, it is possible that the Web site went offline due network maintenance or due to some other technical glitch.
Facebook has yet to make an official comment about the crash. The social networking Web site has 1.3 billion monthly users and is one of the most popular Web sites in the world.
Update
"It prevented users from posting to the social networking site "for a brief period of time", a Facebook spokesman said.
"We resolved the issue quickly, and we are now back to 100 percent," he said.
"We're sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused."
