‘Fallout 4’ Digital Preorder On Xbox One Brings Special Perk, ‘Fallout Shelter’ On Android Gets More Details
In preparation for “Fallout 4,” developer Bethesda is offering a chance for Xbox players to get primed and ready before the latest installment of the franchise hits on Nov. 10. Those who will preorder a copy of “Fallout 4” on the Xbox One will have the chance to play through “Fallout 3” for the Xbox 360.
Bethesda has already announced via its official blog that this is a time-limited chance for players who have yet to explore the Capital Wasteland where “Fallout 3” has been set in. Preorders will come with the code for the earlier game between seven to days upon preordering.
The code can then be used on Xbox.com or directly on the Xbox 360. But even with this new offer, Bethesda also hinted that those with only the Xbox One can still enjoy “Fallout 3” once backwards compatibility is enabled.
The other “Fallout” title coming out this year, “Fallout Shelter,” has received a new update concerning its release date on the Android platform. According to GameSpot, the release date for the Android version is aimed at an August launch.
This information was confirmed by Bethesda’s own Pete Hines. He mentioned that the specifics of the date has not yet been announced, but an August release date seems to be highly likely.
Just recently, a “Fallout 4” character has been revealed for “Fallout Shelter.” This is Preston Garvey, a legendary dweller in the game that can only be obtained via lunch boxes. Garvey will also be wielding his Laser Musket.
But even before the Android version can even debut, there’s already an exploitable game bug that can help players who have just started with the game. Game Informer reports that the bug applies to those who want to get unlimited lunchboxes at the start.
The first thing that players should do is to avoid claiming the early rewards in the vault, including the “Sell 1 weapon or outfit” or “Equip 1 dweller with an outfit.” By doing this, the third objective in the list will let players keep earning awards that will earn caps and lunchboxes.
While it’s possible that Bethesda will deal with this glitch in an update, it does leave early players the chance to get Garvey early on. The lunchbox is the only way that players can get the legendary dweller from “Fallout 4.”
