It was recently announced that “Fallout 4” would have downloadable content (DLC) sometime after its game release scheduled later this year. While future content of the game has yet to be revealed, fans may be happy to know there will not be any platform specific DLC for “Fallout 4.”

Pete Hines, the marketing executive for Bethesda Softworks, announced the news on his Twitter. He stated that Bethesda would not be doing anything exclusive with anyone, according to GameSpot. So fans, who own either a PS4, Xbox One or PC, won't feel left out when the game is released.

The move is a bit surprising since platform exclusive DLC has been a major part of retail releases lately. For example, fans that bought “Batman: Arkham Knight” on the PlayStation 4 would gain access to exclusive Scarecrow missions and two costumes: “Batman 66” and “Justice League 3000”.

So far, Bethesda announced a $30 season pass, which will give fans access to all of the DLC the developers plan on making for the game. While the DLC itself hasn't been revealed, the development team is hard at work with the main game and will start making the DLC after the game has been released.

Regular free updates are also planned for “Fallout 4,” which will add a number of new gameplay mechanics to the mix. It still hasn’t been stated what would be added, but it will supposedly be similar to the “Skyrim” updates, which added things like the Kill Cam and Legendary mode.

Those who plan to download the game should know that the file size for “Fallout 4” is a surprising 28.12 GB for the Xbox One, reports VG24/7. While the file size isn’t exactly small, it is considerably smaller than games like “Grand Theft Auto V,” which take up 65 GB of the console or computer. There is no word yet if the size is also the same for the PlayStation 4 and PC versions.

“Fallout 4” is currently scheduled for a Nov. 10 release date. The game will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC simultaneously.
