Fans Criticise Mayweather For Paying Tribute To Earl Hayes Hours After Murder Of Stephanie Moseley; LAPD To Question Boxer For ‘Goading’ Friend
Fans are angry and shocked at Floyd Mayweather's paying tribute to rapper Earl Hayes hours after the boxer's friend gunned his wife Stephanie Moseley out of jealousy and then committed suicide.
Hours after the incident, rapper 50 Cent, with whom Mayweather once had a fight, paid tribute to Hayes in his Instagram account which read: "RIP Hayes, @floydmayweather you are my little brother. All can think about is what you said to me up stairs. Don't you ever do nothing to your self no matter what champ. We can fall out and fight or what ever, but I don't want to see you go out like that."
Mayweather retweeted 50 Cent's Instagram post, which didn't sit well with fans. His retweet could be compared to football player Darnell Dockett's retweeting and commenting on a previous tweet of first daughter Malia Obama's photo in tight jeans which became viral and angered netizens.
50 Cent's Instagram post included a photo of Mayweather and Hayes seated together.
Here are some violent reactions to Mayweather's retweet quoted by Mirror:
"He is a murderer and doesn't deserve respect! The murderer was a heartless coward."
"How about RIP Stephanie Mosely too! It's not even about @floydmayweather or $50cent."
"What type of evil person kills his wife. What gives him the right to take life, what gives any of us to take a life. That woman doesn't deserve it, by any means."
However, someone defended 50 Cent, saying that the rapper wasn't disrespecting Mosely, but just acknowledging that Earl who was the boxer's best friend. The commenter added that 50 Cent showed his sympathy even if he has a feud with Mayweather.
As of now, Mayweather is considered a witness to the murder. However, TMZ, citing multiple sources, reports that the LAPD wants to question the boxer further for his role in "whipping his friend Earl Hayes into a frenzy over his wife's infidelity ... to the point Hayes gunned her down."
Moseley allegedly was unfaithful to Hayes and had a fling with Trey Songz.
Although Mayweather appears to have goaded Hayes, he eventually begged his best friend not to kill Moseley. But Hayes didn't heed the boxer's plea and fired 10 to 12 shots at his wife who was taking a bath then.
TMZ, though, presumes the LAPD questioning is because of Mayweather's being witness to the murder through Apple's FaceTime.
