Fans Post Self-Harm Photos as Protest Against Bieber's Pot Use, #CutForBieber Trends in Twitter [PHOTOS]

Another controversy has unfortunately hit Justin Bieber, the troubled singer, after fans post real and fabricated self-harm photos as protest against the singer's marijuana use.

After a group of pranksters started a Twitter trend with the hashtag #CutForBieber, fans reacted by posting images of themselves with their wrists cut, bloodied and with blades. Though some of the images are fake, some did actually harm themselves, causing outrage from groups advocating the end of self-harm among teenagers.

Gossippop.com called this stint "particularly disgusting," as it is extremely inhumane to joke about self-harm, especially when teenagers are involved. It is a serious issue not only in the United States, but in all countries as well.

Some take the trend humorously, posting photos of scissors cutting paper, while some put fake blood on their wrists to send out a message that they did harm themselves so their idol, will stop using marijuana. Though as a joke, the trend still sends a horrific message and produces a negative result among fans and followers of the singer.

Along with Gossip Pop, the International Business Times is against the promotion of self-harm, or any form of cutting or negatively dark actions provoking the youth in social media outlets. This reaction over Justin Bieber smoking weed has not only gone too far, but is actually becoming a disturbing piece of showbiz-related news.
