Blake Fielder-Civil's current partner and mother of his son Jake, Sarah Astin, told The Sun that the deceased singer tried to contact her ex just last week.

Although the singer's relationship with the troubled convict ended in 2009 after a chaotic 2-year relationship, the pair's attraction for each other never ceased. Fielder-Civil's current partner and girlfriend Sarah Astin, claims the singer tried to contact Blake in prison just last week. Astin said she told the singer to "keep her hands off" Blake, before saying "he is mine and we are a family now" back to the Winehouse. In the same The Sun post, it was revealed that Amy confessed to close friends that "Blake is the only one who can save" her from wasting life away on addiction just a week before her death

Yesterday, Fielder-Civil released a statement about the untimely death of the British singer. He told The Sun "Everybody who knew me and knew Amy knew the depth of our love. I can't believe she's dead". Astin, who recently gave birth to Fielder-Civil's son, reacted on Blake and Amy's undying attraction. "Basically they couldn't live with each other and they could not live without each other. It is hard for me knowing he still loved her, but I do understand his feelings", tells Astin in a post by The Sun. Astin also revealed that the singer felt "devastated" upon knowing of Astin's pregnancy with her ex.

"I think Amy could not get over the fact that Blake and I had our son Jack", says Astin in the same The Sun post. "She would have made a fantastic mum, though, despite all her problems. What's happened is so tragic - an absolute waste" continues Fielder-Civil's partner in the same interview.
