After an unexpected delay, Electronic Arts has finally announced that "FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup" and the "Kick Off" mode are already available.

"All FIFA 14 players on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC are currently being prompted to download an update," said EA over at their official forums.

Over the weekend, the company explained that they had encountered "unforeseen issues" that would have affected users who downloaded the update, so it was best to delay it rather than have to face a bigger issue with the players.

What to Expect in "FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup"

As a run through on what players may expect once they download and open the pack, Ultimateteam.com.uk has listed all the details that come with the pack.

Unlike any new content releases in the FUT past, the World Cup cards, which are untradeable and have no discard value, are shaking up the already unsteady regular FUT marketplace," said Ultimateteam.co.uk.

There will be 50 100-FIFA points worth each of standard World Cup packs--which can supposedly hint that special packs are also coming--with five consumables cards and seven green-coloured untradeable cards. The packs don't contain badges or "club affiliations" and can only be players, managers and home or away kits.

The players you can encounter in the "FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup" update are the ones you'll see at the World Cup, where their statistics are similar to their FUT regular counterparts, though with slight deviations.

There are also redemption cards that will reportedly saturate content, especially since there will be an influx of non-rare players and other items from the packs.

Opening World Cup Packs will only allow you 30 consumables, and the only way to increase your number of consumables is to store them as received in packs, exit the World Cup "area" and add to the list when you're in the Club storage.

The servers are already up for download, with slight hiccups over the weekend due to the high volume of downloads, which can be assumed is for the "FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup" update. It may be best to start your downloads now and get started on playing.

For a crash course on the top 40-rated "FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup" players, there's a quick list over at Ultimateteam.co.uk, where the top three include Lionel Messi of Argentina, Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal and Robin van Persie of Netherlands. Each player has a pretty comprehensive player data to help you decide which you would want to use.
