'Fifty Shades of Grey 2&3': Jamie Dornan Not Returning To The Sequels Is A 'Conjecture,' No Commitment Has Been Made Yet--Report
After the befitting success of “Fifty Shades of Grey” there is much buzz about the film’s sequel. Though there is no confirmation about “Fifty Shades of Grey 2 &3, a lot of reports about them are making rounds. Daily Mail had quoted a report from NW magazine that said Jamie Dornan might not return for the sequel. However, actor’s rep has denied the report.
“All press reports are pure conjecture as the studio has not committed to a sequel as yet,” said the rep according to Eonline. It has been also reported by the website that Jamie’s wife Amelia Warner was reportedly not happy with her husband’s intimate scenes in the film. The report had lead to major twitter reactions and fans expressed their shock over Dornan’s alleged departure from the sequels. Below are some twitter reactions.
However, now that the actor’s rep has said that reports of Jamie not returning to the sequel are mere speculations, it seems that Jamie might reprise his role as Christian Grey. Grey is a business magnate who has the passion for BDSM. He falls in love with a plain Jane Anastasia Steele. Their romance takes a new turn when Grey introduces Steele to his secret BDSM side. “Fifty Shades of Grey” is based on the novel of the same name by E.L James. The role of Steele is played by Dakota Johnson.
“Fifty Shades of Grey 2&3” will be reportedly be based on James’ other two novels in the trilogy, “Fifty Shades of Darker” and “Fifty Shades if Freed.” The sequels will take ahead the romance of Steele and Grey. In “Fifty Shades of Darker” Grey proposes to Steele for marriage whereas in “Fifty Shades of Freed” Steele faces the challenges of marriage with a wealthy businessman.
Sam Taylor-Johnson directed “Fifty Shades of Grey.” Her return for the film’s sequel is also not confirmed. Meanwhile, Eloise Mumford, who played Katherine "Kate" Kavanagh, in “Fifty Shades of Grey” did not get give any affirmative answer about the sequels when she was recently asked about them. “We'll see. We're all just sort of reveling in the fact that it did so well right now, and we're super-thrilled that so many people went and saw it,” she said according to Eonline.
