'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Casting: Emilia Clarke Already Cast as Anastasia Steele? [PHOTOS]
From 'Game of Thrones' to 'Games of Grey'
Fans of "Fifty Shades of Grey" better get those eyes and ears ready because news has it that Universal Studios has finally cast their Anastasia Steele for the movie! Emilia Clarke of "Game of Thrones" is rumoured to have signed on for the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." Is Emilia really the perfect Ana plus how true are the rumours?
E.L. James' best-selling erotica novel catapulted into the scene late August of last year and since then the BDSM-themed novels have hooked one person to the next. Surprisingly, even celebrities have been hooked on the racy and sultry novels. In fact, almost every celebrity in Hollywood had expressed interest in the lead roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.
With the movie set for release by summer of 2014, ironically casting has not begun and according to Universal Studios it may take a while. Given its April and fans only want to hear official casting news, it's not surprising another alleged casting news has been announced over the week.
In a report by Gather Celebrity, Emilia Clarke of "Game of Thrones" had said to be cast as Anastasia Steele. For those living under a rock, Emilia plays the famous "Mother of Dragons" Daenery Targaryen on HBO's original series. The brunette beauty has also starred on Broadway's "Breakfast at Tiffany's."
"She's young, talented, fine with nudity/sex, pale, petite, big eyes, great body, delicate features, etc. all the things Christian loves about Ana :)," reports Gather.com.
Unfortunately, for Clarke fans out there, Emilia has not signed on to anything with regards to the "Fifty Shades" rumours. For one, Emilia is winning a lot of web polls as of late for the casting of Ana. Along with Clarke on the fan favourite lists are Felicity Jones, Ashley Greene and Alexis Bledel.
