All thanks to "Twilight", "Fifty Shades of Grey" had been born. It's not surprising that "Twi-hard" fans would want Robert Pattinson to nab the role of Christian Grey. Despite earlier announcements claiming Pattinson would have nothing to do with the film, E.L. James attendance at Pattinson's party clearly says otherwise. Would this mean the sparkly vampire would be playing Christian Grey?

Fans of "Twilight" could only hope for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to be cast in the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." However, E.L. James had made it clear in the past that the former "Twilight" stars would not be cast in the film saying "it would be too strange." This of course had reached Pattinson's ears and that he was reportedly crushed. The "Twilight" hunk went on to add that he was going to make sure E.L. James would "pay for that comment."

Yet, with one statement after the next, the possibility of Pattinson getting cast as Christian Grey is high. Pattinson had thrown a "Great Gatsby" themed party in his LA home to celebrate his pal, Nick Jarecki's, the "Arbitrage" director, birthday.

Of all the people in attendance, E.L. James was present. Could this be a change of heart for James? Stewart may no longer be eyed for the role of Anastasia Steele but Robert Pattinson certainly is a strong favourite for James.

To prove E.L. James was indeed at Pattinson's party, singer Todd Michael Schultz had tweeted all about it.

"That was a real freakin party.. everywhere you turn... someone super smart and talented and interesting to talk to," stated Todd.

Is E.L. James doing a bit of scouting for Director Sam Taylor-Johnson for the role of Christian Grey? "Twi-hard" fans definitely have hope in seeing Robert Pattinson get cast in the film for "Fifty Shades of Grey."
