"Sexiest Man Alive" of 2011, Ryan Gosling is once again favoured for the role of Christian Grey. Despite the poor results of fan polls earlier in the year 2012, Gosling appears to be in the running for the elusive role of Christian Grey once again. In fact, Gosling has already been cast as Grey in some fan-made videos posted on YouTube.

The "Gangster Squad" star had been paired with Mila Kunis while some YouTube videos had paired Gosling off with Emma Stone. Gosling had been eyed as Christian Grey back in September 3, 2012 when James' husband, Neil Leonard had stated Ryan to be cast as Grey. However, the casting rumours have been dubbed false.

"No, that's completely misreported. What happened is that his local paper... reported on my husband being the inspiration for Christian Grey. Underneath it they put a picture of Ryan Gosling, as well. So that's how it came about," explained author E.L. James.

Unlike Ian Somerhalder who has read the books, Gosling is by far uneducated on the "Fifty Shades" franchise which would make him a poor choice for the film adaptation.

"I don't ... what is this book that everyone is talking about? It seems very popular," stated Gosling.
