The possibilities for the casting of Christian Grey in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie are endless. With a long list of potential actors in the business perfect to play the role of Grey, choosing one would definitely be a hassle. Another name has been added to the list of possible actors of which include "Twilight" hunk, Taylor Lautner.

E.L. James, the author of the BDSM-themed novels, has confirmed that casting for the movie is still far off. This gives fans of "Fifty" a lot of time to choose actors and actresses for their web polls. In fact, one name added to the list of promising actors set to play the 27-year old entrepreneur is "Twilight" hunk, Taylor Lautner. Some fans even say Lautner might have already been cast as Christian Grey.

The speculation had started all thanks to a photo of Taylor Lautner all smiles beside the author of "Fifty Shades" herself, E.L. James. The said photograph was taken at the Hollywood Pre-Oscar party, Grey Goose Academy Awards. 24-year old Lautner was spotted casually chatting up with the author.

Though a photo isn't likely a proof for casting, Taylor is still included in the running given his impressive fan base. A lot of "Twilight" fans are hoping that if Robert Pattinson doesn't snag the role, Taylor Lautner would.

Yet, Taylor Lautner would have quite the competition when it comes to the role of Grey. Matt Bomer of "White Collar" is currently in the lead while "Man of Steel" star, Henry Cavill follows in at second place. A few notable actors in the running include "The Vampire Diaries'" Ian Somerhalder, "Pretty Little Liars'" Ian Harding and "Gossip Girls" Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford.

For now, all fans can do is hope that their protégés do manage to snag the role. With Universal Studios still in search of a suitable director, casting is still far off schedule. Hopefully, the film adaptation does stay on track. Universal Studios confirmed last week that the BDSM-themed film will be out by summer of 2014.
