An official cast for the highly-anticipated film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey" is yet to be announced. In fact, according to Universal Studios, casting is still way far off schedule. Of course, leave it to "Fifty Shades" fans to come up with a list of potential stars ready to take on the role of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. As of late, two "Pretty Little Liars" are ruling the charts for the role of Ana. Who are they?

Lucy Hale of the famous television series, "Pretty Little Liars" was last years' favourite for the role of Anastasia Steele. Now Alexis Bledel of "Gilmore Girls" is one of the top contenders for the role of 20-year old virginal and innocent Ana. Following close to Bledel on the polls are Emilia Clarke of "Game of Thrones" and Felicity Jones of "Like Crazy."

While Hale may have been last year's favourite, it doesn't entirely mean that Lucy is out of the running to play Ana. Hale along with two of her co-stars from "Pretty Little Liars" are strong contenders in some "Fifty" fan-related web polls.

Ashley Benson and Troian Bellisario both have the potential to play opposite the sadomasochistic, Christian Grey. Both stars have expressed interest in playing the role in separate interviews.

"Everyone on the set had to read it before me, and they were like Troian, Troian, just read it you'll like it," said Troian in an interview with VH1 late last month, adding, "I think it would be terrifying. But if you're not doing terrifying things every day, you're not living."

Bellisario has the look of Ana down pat with her brunette hair and pale skin. The only downfall for Troian would be her real age, 27 years old. Still, the "PLL" star doesn't look a day older than 20 so Troian could probably pull the young look easily.

As for Ashley Benson, the "Spring Breakers" star might have been blonde at first but Ashley has gone to the dark side. This move has garnered quite the attention from "Fifty" fans gaining Ashley a boost in the polls.

"I've read every book. I want to play Anastasia. Kate is awesome. I like all the characters but Anastasia? I love her so much!" explained Benson in her Celebuzz interview back in 2012.

While both actresses hold much potential, only one "Pretty Little Liar" is best suited to play the role of Anastasia Steele. The question now is: Who is better, Ashley Benson or Troian Bellisario?
