The stir has begun once again for the casting of E.L. James best-selling erotica novels, "Fifty Shades of Grey." While the movie has yet to find a director, fans are naming one potential actress to another worthy to play the role of Anastasia Steele. Who among Hollywood's sexiest have made it this time to the list of updated casting poll?

Last year, "Pretty Little Liars" Lucy Hale won a landslide for online casting polls for the role as Anastasia Steele. Now, with the New Year having started out, new names have been included in the bunch and Hale is already "so last year." Hale's look-alike, Selena Gomez has also been kicked out of the list of potential actresses so who are this year's contenders?

First off is Johnny Depp's rumored ex-girlfriend, Amber Heard. Amber's name has been "tossed around" for the part of the College student, Anna. "The Rum Diary" star has been dubbed a dead ringer for the brunette fictional character and given Amber's Hollywood inexperience, this film would definitely give her career a boost.

Amber Heard is just one new name to the long list of potential actresses who could play Anastasia Steele. Other long time favorites include Alexis Bledel and Felicity Jones who portray just the right amount of modesty and beauty fit for Anastasia Steele.

"Game of Thrones" Emilia Clarke also continues to be on the top ten list of potential Anastasia Steele. Given Clarke's knack for taking off her clothes for the HBO Original Series, getting naked for the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades" won't pose as a problem.

Like Daniel Radcliffe of the famous "Harry Potter" film franchise, Dan's co-star, Emma Watson is also another big name thrown in the bunch of Anastasia Steele's.

As for Shailene Woodley who had been a fan favorite for the role of Anna, the brunette star has been taken out of the list. MTV News revealed Tuesday afternoon that Woodley would be playing the female lead for another highly-anticipated film adaptation, "Divergent." Also Woodley confirmed that she'd only play for a movie role which had "profoundly moved" her of which "Fifty Shades" likely hasn't.

With January halfway through, fans only hope for the casting for the film adaptation live up to their expectations.
