"High School Musical's" Zac Efron has certainly grown up to be a fine looking lad. Efron also proves to be one of Hollywood's hottest and talented actors having starred in the film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' novel, "The Lucky One." Now, Efron is eyed for yet another film adaptation as Christian Grey in "Fifty Shades of Grey."

This isn't the first time Zac Efron has been dubbed a potential star for the lead role in E.L. James best-selling erotica novel. Back in 2012, Efron along with a few other stars namely Gosling, Skarsgard and Sturridge, had been eyed for the role of Grey. Yet, some "Fifty" fanatics claimed Efron was still "too young" to play the BDSM-themed role.

However, with Efron's growing female fan base, the former Disney cutie has once again been hyped to play the coveted role of Grey. Given Efron is only 24 years of age, it wouldn't be a problem to play the character of 27-year old Christian Grey though Efron's height may be a bit of a disadvantage.

Apart from the age being a strong factor for Efron to play Christian Grey, Efron's mature roles have held a strong opinion amongst female viewers. If fans may recall, Zac had quite the sexy scene in 'The Lucky One" and he's slated to expose more in his sex scene with Nicole Kidman in "The Paperboy."

Even if ZacEfron manages to return as a favourite for the role of Grey, the 24-year old actor has tough competition with strong contenders namely Ian Somerhalder, Matt Bomer and Henry Cavill. Would the 5'8'' actor even stand a chance?
