Chances are fans of E.L. James erotica novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey" won't get to see their favourite actors for the lead parts. Producers of the film adaptation have decided to stick to casting "unknown" stars for the role. Does this mean that the strongest contenders for the role of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele namely Matt Bomer and Emilia Clarke won't get a shot at the film?

With the movie a year away from release, the casting call could have not come at an appropriate time. Yet, casting for the film has brought a bit of bad news for fans. In a report by The Inquistr, an open casting call was published which has asked actors interested in the film adaptation to submit resumes and head shots to Universal Studios.

This would only mean that fans desperately rooting for their favourite well-known celebrities won't likely see them nab the coveted film role. Strong contenders for the lead parts namely Matt Bomer, Henry Cavill, Emilia Clarke and Alexis Bledel are quite famous in the Hollywood biz which would possibly kick them out of the running.

While iconic Hollywood stars are unlikely to be in the film, this would only mean that celebs under the radar have a shot at starring in the film. Of course, anyone wanting to try out for the part should note that the casting call is quite specific. For the role of Anastasia, the production company requested a very beautiful, Caucasian between the ages of 20 to 25. As for the part of Christian, they must be extremely good-looking, sexy, confident and between the ages of 25 to 33.

There is also a request by the production company that actors up for the part should be available to work in the UK. Thus, this specification has fuelled rumours once more that "Fifty Shades of Grey" would be filmed in the said country. Given the author lives in the UK, it is not surprising why the film would choose the same location.

James may have been tight-lipped about the cast since late last year but the author did reveal that she is pleased with whom she had put in charge for production.

"That's the wonderful thing about doing it this way, is you compile a team who really know what they're doing, who are incredibly talented, and you listen to what they have to say. As for Sam Taylor-Johnson, I saw both of her films, and I was blown away. Simple," stated E.L. James.
