"Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn" for PlayStation 4 is set of release in April next year, according to Square Enix.

Japanese video game producer and designer Naoki Yoshida announced the official launch of the "Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn" for PlayStation 4 in April 2014 welcoming new faces and adventures in the fictional land of Eorzea. The game made a preview last February on the announcement of the console.

The original PC version of the Final Fantasy 14 was released in September 2010. The game received a lot of negative reviews because of server instability. Square Enix former President Yoichi Wada announced that an improved version of the game would be released. Thus, the title was relaunched as "Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn" in August this year for both PC and PlasyStation 3.

The revamped Final Fantasy 14 was improved by Naoki Yoshida and his team. The team created new content and fixed the features that received criticisms from gamers.

The remake of FF14 surpassed the company's expectations in terms of sales and announced that 1.5 million players have registered within the game since its release on Aug. 27.

On Dec. 14, Yoshida will demo the PlasyStation 4 version of the game during a live stream on the Lodestone, which is the official community site for "Final Fantasy 14. The live demo will take place on 7 AM EST. Yoshida will also promote the content contained in the Patch 2.1 of the game.

Yoshida previously announced that players who purchased the PlayStation 3 version of the game will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 4 version for free. However, the players will lose the rights to play the PlayStation 3 version.

"Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn" takes place in Eorzea where a disaster may happen due to the descent and potential impact of the lesser moon Dalamud. Players will create and customize their characters that will participate in the story line of the impending invasion by the Garlean Empire and its relationship to Dalamud's descent.
