'Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn' PS4 Free Trial And Heavensward Expansion: Au Ra, Astrologian, Machinist And Alexander
Massive multiplayer online role-playing game or MMORPG "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn" has an upcoming expansion pack next year called Heavensward which brings several new features. It comes with a new race, new classes and an abandoned mechanical fortress playable in either Normal or Hard game modes.
'Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn' Heavensward Expansion Pack
Reboot of the "Final Fantasy XIV Online," "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn" will have an expansion pack titled Heavensward set to be released on 2015. Gamespot reported several new details revealed by Square Enix at the Fan Festival in Tokyo for players to enjoy next year:
1. Au Ra of the Othard continent is a new race to the "Final Fantasy" game series included on the Heavensward. Au Ra have curved horns, patches of scales on the skin and long tails which can be customised by players.
2. Astrologian is a new class focused on healing and support magicks that uses the stars to aid other characters in combat.
3. Machinist is the second new class focused on dealing damage using a large firearm and mechanical turrets. Machinists are ranged DPS class type.
4. Alexander is an abandoned mechanical fortress where goblins can be found. It is a new endgame raid event playable in either Normal or Hard game modes.
Recent report from ChristianToday revealed a free trial of "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn" on Sony PlayStation 4 console for players to explore Eorzea and build a character up to level 20. Characters created in this method can be transferred later on once the player purchase the full game version.
However, this free trial for Sony PlayStation 4 lasts for only 14 days with expected limitations on certain aspects of the game since it is only a trial version. Within this period, players can choose and characters from different races such as Hyur, Miqo'te, Elezen, Lalafell and Roegadyn. High level characters can unlock several jobs such as Paladin, Monk, Dragoon, White Mage and Scholar.
Heavensward expansion pack will have a new musical theme by Nobuo Uematsu and a Collector's Edition featuring art by Yoshitaka Amano. It is expected to be released sometime in spring next year.
