‘Final Fantasy XV’ entices fans with the PS4 Slim treatment, new TGS 2016 trailer
Square Enix seems to be far from done when it comes to introducing editions for “Final Fantasy XV.” Fans who haven’t gotten a chance to order a copy of the game may want to consider two particular options.
Announced by PlayStation Blog EU, there’s the limited edition for the “Final Fantasy XV” themed PS4 Slim. Dubbed the Luna edition, as depicted by the glaringly realistic image of the moon on the face of the PS4 Slim, the new “Final Fantasy XV” themed PS4 Slim will be available on Nov. 29.
It will include a 1TB PS4 system, a controller, the “Final Fantasy XV: Deluxe Edition.” This particular bundle features a Steelbook, the Blu-Ray disc for the game, the “Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV” movie and some bonus in-game content.
There’s one other limited edition bundle that’s a little more straightforward. It contains a Jet Black PS4 and the “Final Fantasy XV” base game on Blu-Ray.
To further entice fans, Square Enix has released a new trailer for the Tokyo Game Show 2016 event. If the swelling background music, the fierce tension between characters and the intense scenes where Noctis’ gang almost break into a fight were enough clues, this is one of the more dramatic trailers for the game to date.
The trailer is in Japanese, so fans of the original voice actors can get more speaking lines for the likes of Lunafreya’s brother Ravus Nox Fleuret (Nakamura Yuichi) and Ardyn Izunia (Keiji Fujiawara), who were first shown in “Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV.”
There’s also a confrontation scene where Ravus trains a sword to Gladiolus’ throat. The latter is also seen having a shouting match with the prince while they are on the train. Prompto, as usual, tries to be the pacifier, to no avail.
Compared to previous trailers, which showcased action sequences, this trailer is more focused on the human emotions and the struggles that the characters face.
“Final Fantasy XV” will be out on the PS4 and Xbox One on Nov 29.
