The recently released video gameplay footage of "Final Fantasy XV" reportedly confirms a game demo. The demo is expected to be released next year.

The last gameplay trailer released by Square Enix was over a year ago, according to Collider. Developers started working on the game since May 2006. It has since changed its original title from "Final Fantasy Versus XIII" to "Final Fantasy XV." Likewise, game directors and its console generation were also changed. The game has been in development for so long, according to writer Matt Goldberg, so it really isn't surprising, according to Inquisitr, if gamers were skeptic on the possibility of a "Final Fantasy XV" when its trailer was released last week.

Now, after many years, Square Enix finally released the initial trailer for "Final Fantasy XV" at this year's Tokyo Game Show on Wednesday. Despite the length of time developers took in its creation, Goldberg claims Square Enix made light of the situation by showing that the new game promises a terrific gameplay.

According to Inquisitr, the note shown before the trailer warned gamers that the "sneak peek is a work in progress." "We aim to deliver even more with the final product," it continued. (Watch the trailer for "Final Fantasy Versus XIII" below.)

Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata claimed the demo will be different than what's seen on the trailer. According to Kotaku, Tabata assured fans during the stage presentation at the Game Show that the demo will look even better since the game is currently developed for use on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Furthermore, Tabata silenced online rumours that the game trailer was "pre-rendered" with the announcement of next year's demo. There's currently no release date, but a demo will reportedly be included with "Final Fantasy Type-0 HD" when the game is released on March 17, 2015 for its PS4 and Xbox One version.

According to reports, the "Final Fantasy XV" will be an hour-long of gameplay. Inquisitr adds the demo includes players' ability to drive cars themselves or have another player drive through auto-pilot. A chocobo is supposedly included as well. Plot-wise, Goldberg claims the new game is "catchier" than "Royalty n' Crystals."
