‘Final Fantasy XV’ update: Game is 50% complete, fully playable from beginning to end but still requires polishing
More and more details about Square Enix’s upcoming roleplaying game (RPG) “Final Fantasy XV” surface as its apparent launch year comes closer. New reports suggest that the game is almost good to go. Though its release date is still unknown, it’s good to know that the game is near completion already.
In a post on the official forum of “Final Fantasy XV,” an in-depth statement about the current development of the anticipated game claims that fans are close to getting their hands on the game. The post was by the game’s programmer Satoshi Kitade, Dualshockers reports.
Currently, “Final Fantasy XV” can be played from beginning to end. It means that the game and its entire playthrough are already complete. However, what remains for Square Enix is an unpolished title that might still have a few kinks. Since the game is already complete, it can be easily polished and adjusted by the developers based on the issues they find. Aside from this, they can also add more features in the final version of the game.
Kitade added that a lot of things are still missing in the game; however, he did not delve deeper into what those are. What’s good is he can now focus on polishing the game before it is fully released. This could steer the title away from the long list of games with a faulty launch edition.
Kitade further claimed that the game is approximately 50 percent complete. Apparently, the first half of the game is already done and polished.
“Final Fantasy XV” is intended for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There’s no release date for the game yet, but players can get a feel of the title with the “Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae 2.0” demo, which is now available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
