Finale for 'Tales from the Borderlands' gets release date
With the first episode now free to download, Telltale Games has announced the release date for the fifth and final episode of “Tales from the Borderlands.” The acclaimed series is set to end this month with a bang and some bullets shot, according to fans' expectations.
Of all the trailers released for “Tales from the Borderlands” so far, the last episode's trailer is not very clear. In the trailer below, Fiona asks her captor what he wants and he simply replies with, “the truth.” A giant hand comes rising from the ground thus teasing an epic climax.
The episode is titled “The Vault of the Traveller,” according to Attack of the Fanboy. The fans are clearly anticipating the end of final episode and the presence of giant hand in the trailer has only upped the excitement.
Many fans were delightfully surprised with the “Borderlands” spinoff, as the title managed to keep the post-apocalyptic setting, while still fitting well with the typical Telltale gameplay. The mixture of quick time events and difficult choices made for a nail biting experience that fans won’t soon forget.
Eurogamer confirmed that the finale would be hitting the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC on Oct. 20, while the Xbox One and Xbox 360 get it on the Oct. 21. Mobile users will be getting the finale on Oct. 22.
“Tales from the Borderlands” isn’t the only Telltale series ending this month, as “Game of Thrones” is also in its final stages. Telltale Games have already announced a second season for the “Game of Thrones” series and it will be interesting to see if “Tales from the Borderlands” follow the same path.
Another game from Telltale is also coming this month and like most of the company’s properties, this one has a fair bit of hype towards it. “Minecraft: Story Mode” will be released later this month for all major platforms and will even have a physical copy on the first day. Buying the disc ensures the player that he or she will be getting the other episodes right away, without any extra pay.
