‘Five Nights At Freddy’s 4’ Coming On Halloween, Teaser Indicates It’s The Final Chapter
All good things must come to an end and it seems like that is what will happen as “Five Nights at Freddy’s 4” has been announced and may be the last of the series. The fourth installment of the indie horror game series developed by Scott Cawthon appears to be the last iteration of the beloved franchise and will reportedly be out this Halloween.
The announcement was made through Scott Games, the official website of Scott Cawthon and his video game series. The teaser image shows one of the creepy animatronic mascots tipping its hat, while “The Final Chapter” can be seen in the bottom left of the creepy image.
Cawthon has stated in the past that the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” games are fairly easy to make for the creator, usually only taking a few months to get one of the games out, as proven by the previous games in the series. However, given that the release date will be the end of October, it appears that Cawthon will be taking more time than usual with “Five Nights at Freddy’s 4,” which could potentially be his magnum opus.
PC Gamer has speculated that the game might be bigger than its predecessors, due to the lateness of the release date. That being said, there has been no details revealed about the possible last installment so far, though the animatronic shown in the teaser appears to be a new one in the game and could lead to even more creepy machines being revealed as the release date draw near.
“Five Nights at Freddy’s” had made the rounds recently, when it was revealed a month ago that Warner Bros would be bringing the hit indie game to the big screen. Given how many fans the game series has earned, it should be pleasing to hear that the film seems to be based on the first game of the series.
The first “Five Nights at Freddy’s” game was released back in the summer of 2014 on Steam and has since been ported to iOS and Android devices, along with the other sequels, which were released fairly quickly. “Five Nights at Freddy’s 4” will come out on October 31, with the irony being that “Five Nights at Freddy’s” is set to end with four games.
