Flappy Bird may no longer be available for download but for those people who failed to install the game on their smartphones, there could still hope for you.

USA Today initially reported that people have been putting up their smartphones, with Flappy Bird game installed, for sale on the eBay. Quite a large number of people, who use the popular auction Web site, have posted online ads selling their phones with the said addictive game installed. Online bids have reportedly reached hundred and thousands of dollars.

One eBay member posted an ad selling his iPhone 5s gold with Flappy Bird installed for a whopping $95,000 dollars. According to USA Today, they have already tried to get in touch with eBay to find out if these auctions are valid and genuine.

Flappy Bird was first released for the iPhone in May, CNN reported. It only took three days for the developer, Dong Nguyen, to design, build, and create the game. Little did he know that Flappy Bird would soar and top the charts of iPhone and Android downloads.

The addictive game, which involves steering a tiny bird through a hurdle path of pipes, only reached the top free iPhone app downloads halfway in the month of January. Some people suggest that computer bots have used to boost its popularity. However, Mr Nguyen stated that he never manipulated anything just to get his app on top.

On Sunday, Flappy Bird was taken down from app stores. However. Those who have already downloaded and installed the game on their smartphones get to keep it and continue playing it.

The overwhelming interest that people have shown towards Flappy Bird, apparently, has stressed Mr Nguyen so much, the very main reason why he decided to have the game removed.

"Press people are overrating the success of my games," he tweeted on Tuesday.

"It is something I never want."

"Please give me peace," he wrote.

Through Twitter, Mr Nguyen also made it known that he has no intention of selling Flappy Bird and that he will still be making games.

For anyone who failed to download the Flappy Bird when it was still available, would you be willing to bid on eBay.
