American alternative rock band Foo Fighters will be the main act in the BlizzCon 2011.

BlizzCon is the annual convention courtesy by Blizzard Entertainment as a thanksgiving to consumers for their major franchises such as Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo.

This year's event will be held at Anaheim Convention Center in California on October 21 and 22.

The tickets to the said event are already sold-out. However, Blizzard and Foo Fighters fans can still avail the event's virtual ticket that will give them full live coverage of the big event, including Foo Fighters' performance. The virtual ticket can be used on the Internet and DIRECTV in United States.

This is the first time that Foo Fighters will play in the popular event. Last year, former Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters' founder Dave Grohl played the drums for Tenacious D. BlizzCon will also benefit the band for the promotion of their seventh album, "Washing Light".

Front act for the BlizzCon 2011 is the band formerly known as Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftain. Blizzard's own metal band will rock the house with familiar pieces taken from the soundtrack of the games.
