Forget iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy S4: Huawei Ascend P6 Guns for Elite Smartphones
Huawei bravely announced its intention to become a dominant player in the smartphone market and aiming for iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S4.
Last week, the company unveiled the Huawei Ascend P6 as a competitor to the current iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One, the Chinese manufacturer has suggested it will continue to improve over the coming months and years, and is plotting a true rival to Apple's next-generation smartphones.
According to Huawei's CEO Richard Yu, "With our flagship phones we want to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5, 5S and iPhone 6. It is this level of product that is our target. The smartphone market is so dynamic, no matter how successful you are it doesn't mean you will be successful tomorrow," he said. "We will make sure we do whatever we can do to challenge the market."
"The technologies involved in smartphones are changing very quickly and at Huawei we want to take a leadership on industry innovation. We are putting huge resources, huge money and research and development across this. We spend so much money on R&D and worldwide we have over 70,000 R&D people. This will help us take a lead on innovation," Yu quickly added.
Currently, Apple and Samsung are having a seesaw battle in the smartphone market in terms of sale and popularity.

Screen Display - Huawei P6 features a 4.7 inch screen display with 720x 1280 pixel resolution.
Processor - The device is equipped with a quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz.
Operating System - The new Huawei smartphone will run with the latest 4.2.2 version of Jelly Bean OS.
Storage - Huawei Ascend P6 will come with 8GB internal storage with expandable storage up to 32GB via microSD slot.
Camera - The new handset from China comes with 8 megapixels rear camera and 5MP front camera.
Battery Life - The Huawei Ascend P6 comes with 2200mAh battery.
Huawei CEO Richard Yu confirmed that the Ascend P6 would be on sale in 19 countries by the end of July, including the UK, Australia, China, Italy and Spain. According to reports, the device will bear a friendly tag price of AU$635, which is incredibly cheaper than its rivals.
