Taylor Hicks, former winner of the 'American Idol' will be joining in a list of popular celebrities who will search for love on a brand new dating show entitled 'The Choice.'

Hicks revealed that he also started a wonderful friendship with one of his co-stars Mike Sorrentino who is also from 'The Jersey Shore.' In the said show, people will get to watch celebrity bachelors and bachelorettes to choose individuals from the regular society who would dream of dating them.

The twist will remind fans of the concept used in 'The Voice' since the contestants will not be able to see their choices until doing so.

Hicks also shared that he is still in constant communication with his runner up during their time in 'American Idol,' Katharine McPhee.

Many say though that 'The Choice' will just be another cheesy dating show in American television. On the coming show this Thursday night, celebrities involved will be Paul DelVEcchio from 'Jersey Shore,' Jason Cook from 'General Hospital,' Romeo the rapper and a popular skier Jeremy Bloom.

More interesting names to be seen in the future episodes of the show aside from Hicks will be Joe Jonas, Chef Rocco Dispirito, Rob Kardashian, Carmen Electra and Dean Cain.
