‘Forza Horizon 2’ Spotted in Xbox Marketplace As Download Size Gets Revealed Before Launch
Preloading for preordered games is also something that Xbox fans can look forward to, especially with what was announced for "Destiny" before its official release broke. Now, it appears that this feature may also be available for another Xbox title, which is the "Forza Horizon 2."
"Forza Horizon 2," which is expected to hit retail and consoles on Sept. 30, has been spotted by a NeoGAF user in the Xbox One Marketplace, which now suggests that preloading for the title may happen.
OXM reports that the NeoGAF user, klodeckel1990 had posted some snapshots of the game as it has appeared in the Xbox One Marketplace. And the report also mentions that the game can be pinned to the Xbox One home despite the lack of download option as of now.
This is understandable, since the preloading option does not come within a day before the actual release date, as it happened with "Destiny." And since the announcement for preloading for "Destiny" came as a surprise feature, Microsoft may announce the same thing for "Forza Horizon 2" when it's nearer the release date of the title. More details are expected to debut soon, hopefully alongside the reveal of the remaining cars for the title.
Those who are wondering how big the download size will be for "Forza Horizon 2" on the Xbox One is, Gamechup reports that it will be at around 35.84 GB. It also states that the game has technically gone gold after the leak over at the Xbox One Marketplace, which suggests that this may be the final download size for the title.
In the meantime, iRobot Gaming managed to snag some new screenshots of "Forza Horizon 2" featuring some classic cars, rugged trucks and vans, and even the city shots and locations.
Apart from the continually revealed list of cars to complete the 200 car list for the title, "Forza Horizon 2's" map has also been revealed early on. Crave Online has the full map, which shows off the racing world featuring areas of France and Italy.
According to the report, the world is a lot bigger, with several landmarks and countries to see. Add in the dynamic weather and you have an unpredictable experience for the open-world racing title. The report also mentions that some areas on the map are rolling vineyards and farms, which means that you can drive off-road to explore other sites.
This would explain some screenshots that feature nature all around the shot. It's also the perfect setup to hide the collectibles that are supposedly scattered around the map.
