Fresh Images Of Google Nexus X/6/Motorola Shamu Running On Android L 5.0 Leaked
Google's next-generation Nexus device has been in news for quite sometime now. It is October already and the launch could be any time now. The upcoming Nexus X, also referred as Nexus 6 or Motorola Shamu, is reportedly being manufactured by Motorola and not by HTC.
With a humongous display size of 5.9 inches, the official name of the device will likely be Nexus X, instead of Motorola Shamu or Google Nexus 6, opines Phone Arena. Earlier reports revealed the long-awaited phablet's images and those pictures showcased only the rear of the handset. However now, a fresh leak points to a running Nexus X that focuses on the front side of the device.
Not surprisingly, the leaked image shows the Nexus X running on Google's latest Android L v5.0. Going by the image, the phablet looks larger than many other flagship devices and it is secured by a snap-on cover for protection and hence it looks bulky. When it comes to the handset design, the upcoming Nexus device is identical to the Moto X, excluding the obvious size difference. Also, the handset comes equipped with two front-facing speakers.
Coming back to display, the 5.9-inch screen is complemented by a killer 1,440 x 2,560 pixels resolution and 496 ppi of pixel density. Moreover, the phone is powered by a quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 805) processor. Speaking of camera, the Nexus X sports a good 13 MP rear-facing camera unit along with Optical Image Stabilization support and dual-LED flash. For selfies, the device houses a 2 MP secondary shooter. Also, the device is backed by a good 3200 mAh battery unit.
Furthermore, a brand new Google Apps folder structure can also be seen. Alongside the Google folder, there is a new Drive folder accompanying editing apps like Drive app, Sheets, Companion Docs and Slides. In addition, there is a Play folder housing the Play Music, Movies/ TV, Books and Newsstand.
Interestingly, the other confirmed feature is the support for Motorola Turbo Charger priced at $35. This charger can juice-up the battery in lightning speed, reports Android Central. Also it is worth reminding that, the refreshed Moto X released in 2014 can be charged within 15 minutes using the aforementioned charger. And the battery charge can be sustained for 8 long hours without requiring a recharge.
