Galaxy Note 3-Friendly Jeans, Khaki Pants to be Released Alongside with the Samsung Flagship
Phablet Phenomenon Prompts Fashion Redesign
It's undeniable that the upcoming Galaxy Note 3 is a force to reckon with as giant fashion brands are monitoring too the Samsung phablet's release date, a new report said.
U.S. casual wear maker Dockers is reengineering the pocket configurations of it jeans and khakis to keep up with the needs of buyers who are phablet users, many of them will be lugging along pocket devices this year that could breach the 6-inch (in length) mark, FoxNews said in a report.
For consumers who will use the Galaxy Note 8.0 and the 5.9-inch Galaxy Note 3, Dockers highly recommend the Mobile Pocket Khaki, which according to Dockers design chief Doug Conklyn is a perfect fit for the super-sized smartphones.
Mr Conklyn told FoxNews that recent upgrade works on the Khaki pants factored in functions and forms in close relation with the prevalent gadget preferences of buyers and many of them are phablet owners.
The Mobile Pocket Khaki, he added, "has a subtle, almost hidden side zipper that easily conceals today's larger smartphones."
Yet for the jean-types, Dockers made provisions too as the company revealed that "we recently increased the size of our 'coin pocket' which is the pocket-within-the-pocket on the wearer's right."
Also called as watch-pocket in some markets, the pocket was upsized from 3x3 to 4x4 that would allow users to easily slip in and out giant-sized mobile phones, the report said.
For companies like Dockers to keep up with tech trends is a must, according to PC Mag analyst Sascha Segan.
In an interview with FoxNews, Mr Segan stressed that the adjustments actually makes business sense.
"Phones are getting bigger and bigger because people are primarily using them for Internet access and touch applications, both of which benefit from a bigger window onto the world," the expert said.
And Samsung concurs, hinting that the roadmap ahead points to massive phone screen size not only for the South Korean tech titan but also for its competitors, including Apple, which is rumoured to be working on a 4.8-inch iPhone 6.
