Galaxy Note 3 Rumours: Samsung Phablet is Aluminium-Wrapped Like the HTC One plus Unbreakable Screen with Key Lime Pie
Samsung will go aluminium for a more durable Galaxy Note 3 casing on release date, a new report said, indicating the tech giant's intent of equalling or even surpassing the solid bodies found on iPhone 5S and HTC One.
The company is all set to rollout by the first week of September a metal-wrapped Note 3, according to SamMobile, delivering at the same time a large-screen smartphone, likely having a 5.9-inch Full HD 1080p screen, that makes for a better hand-feel when used.
Citing its unidentified Samsung insider, SamMobile claimed that the Galaxy device maker had originally planned to encase the recently unveiled Galaxy S4 into a unibody aluminium chassis but production issues forced the company to move back to polycarbonate.
But now that it has more time to cook up a powerful and solidly-built second flagship, Samsung appears on course to use the same technology it employs with the Samsung Wave on the Note 3.
Coinciding with the alleged manufacturing revise, a new concept phone of the Note 3 emerged, rendering
a phablet design that easily points to the GS4 profile.
The side portion, however, of the Note 3 concept, submitted to Concept Phones by artist Uva7 Dance, also suggests a striking resemblance with that of the iPhone 5 - a well-crafted squared edge with accents silver-lining that Apple had introduced via the iPhone 4.
The render somehow hints desires by Samsung fans to own future Galaxy smartphones that are protected by metal casings, giving the devices their deserved premium look and feel.
Uva7 Dance's vision of the Note 3 also comes with the following muscle: an 8-core Exynos Octa 5 CPU that taps into 3GB of RAM, a 16MP main snapper that is able to capture 1080p video clips, a 3600mAh battery and up to 128GB of built-in memory with a microSDXC for expansion purposes.
Ensuring that the upcoming phablet runs smoothly, which Samsung will reportedly release on the first week of September using an Unpacking event dubbed as Episode 2, is Google's latest mobile platform version - Key Lime Pie.
The Galaxy Note 3 promises to be Samsung's rock-solid smartphone to date as reports also suggest that it showcase the tech giant's unbreakable phone screen, a technology that it displayed earlier this year through the 2013 CES in Las Vegas.
