Galaxy Note 3 Sept 4 Release Date Confirmed? Samsung to Issue 4 Variants of the Android Phablet – Reports
The rumoured September 4 release date of the Galaxy Note 3 appears to be gathering steam as new reports indicated that Samsung will indeed gather tech journalists in an unknown venue to officially confirm the existence of the third-gen phablet.
Korean news site ETNews reported this week that something big will happen on the same day - the unveiling of the second Samsung flagship, the Note 3, via a media briefing that will be dubbed Episode 2 Unpacked.
For sure, the Asian tech giant will attempt to put the event's spectators in awe with the so-called spectacular features of the giant-screen Galaxy smartphone, which is rumoured to draw power from the latest quad-core CPU combo of Exynos Octa 5 and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800.
Yet the colossal surprise that Samsung will pull rest not on the specs of the Note 3 but on the supposed four versions of the phablet, which likely will lure buyers with options that cover different screen displays, camera mix and body-build.
The ETNews report implied that like the Galaxy S4, the Note 3 will be build with the goal of attracting diverse customer segments with specific flavours that suite their taste, preference and lifestyle.
In short, apart from looking as the bigger GS4 build, as earlier rumours suggest, the Note 3 will deliver the same GS4 menu.
Yet instead of Android users getting the phablet in various monikers, the Note 3 will simply be offered with changing specs, Gotta Be Mobile said in a report.
Pointing to previously issued leaks, GBM said that buyers will likely get to choose from Note 3 builds in Full HD Super AMOLED display screen or an IGZO LCD that is known for its super-sensitive touchscreen functions. The latter is said to work best with the Note 3's enhanced S-Pen stylus.
It is possible too that the device will come with choices of 13MP and 8MP camera sensors and encasement that is either metal or plastic. The options will be determined by market destinations though it remains unclear if specific locations will presented with different Note 3 versions.
Regardless, the smartphone should hit the market with a 5.7-inch screen and Jelly Bean 4.3 as the common denominators.
While Sept 4 could be the unveiling moment, the actual release date for the Galaxy Note 3 would likely take place a few weeks after, either late September or early October.
