Galaxy Note 4 is the Next iPhone 6 as Preorders Run Out Driving Early Release
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 proved to be a huge success in Korea that analysts expect it to perform well in other parts of the world. The device was sold out upon opening of preorder causing Samsung to push for an earlier official release. Analysts also see Note 4 penetrating China better than iPhone 6. Which company will succeed?
Samsung will be bringing the Galaxy Note 4 to 140 countries impressively. The company wants to complete distribution by the end of October according to GSM Arena. Aside from the preorder success in Korea, the tech giant also wanted to release the Note earlier because of the iPhone 6's performance. Apple's latest flagship posted a whopping 10 million sales combined during the first weekend. Although pricing may vary depending on the region, a Galaxy Note 4 without SIM in Korea comes with a $920 price tag.
According to the Motley Fool, the Note 4 will debut in China by the end of the month rushing ahead of the iPhone 6. Forbes previously noted that Apple was not able to sell initially to China because of regulatory issues.
The Galaxy Note 4 stands to gain from its China release because Asian markets are more open or eager to phablets compared to other regions. The earlier than iPhone 6 release will be a competitive advantage against the Cupertino tech giant. Apple's iPhone 6 Plus will reportedly launch in 20 additional countries predominantly in Europe. The company has remained silent about the China debut of their phablet.
Samsung, on other hand, confirmed that the Note 4 will complete launch in China before September concludes. The device will be available on all major carriers in China. It will debut in the United States on October 17.
