Galaxy Note 4 on Release Date Confirmed with 8-Core Exynos Chip, Intel LTE Modem & Mali GPU - Report

The Galaxy Note 4 on release date is definitely unpacking with a 64-bit eight core Exynos SoC-powered version that likely will see wider market deployment than the previous edition.

This likelihood was teased in a Twitter post this week by Samsung but unlike with the Galaxy Note 3 last year, the Exynos-flavoured Note 4 is all geared up to unbox in more markets than before, said SamMobile on its report.

The main difference of Exynos 5433 from its predecessors is it will hit the market with an Intel-made LTE Category 6 modem. The Intel XMM7260 on-board cellular chip will not only assure that Note 4 users will have access on up 300mbps wireless internet speed but also of better market penetration.

With Cat6 LTE embedded on the fourth-gen phablet flagship from Samsung, the company should be able to "to launch the Exynos variant of the Galaxy Note 4 in more countries than it has been able to with its flagships in the last couple of years," SamMobile said on its report.

Recently, Samsung has confirmed that the Note 4 will touchdown in two editions - a Snapdragon and Exynos builds - though the latest is described by the Galaxy maker as designed for niche markets or limited destinations.

Yet with the new development, it is likely that Samsung will produce the Note 4 in near-equal shipment levels for the Qualcomm and its in-house chip variants, the Samsung device-dedicated site suggested on its report.

It is expected too that Exynos 5433 will showcase eight cores in a single CPU package, which would compose of four Cortex-A15 and four Cortex-A7 processing cores.

Also, there are indications that Samsung's processing chip will be in 64-bit mobile computing standard. As noted by BGR on its report, "Google will ... support 64-bit architecture in future Android versions," so it is likely that the Note 4 on Exynos is 64-bit ready.

However, the Note 4 skipping 64-bit for now may not be a huge problem for Sammy phablet fans as the same BGR news pointed to a recent AnTuTu benchmark result that showed Exynos 5433 packs more power compared to Snapdragon 805.

Included in the new Exynos SoC is the mainstay Mali graphic engine that surely will represent a major bump up from the previous iteration. This GPU will fire up the rumoured Note 4 Quad HD display panel in 2K resolution or 2560 x 1600 screen pixels.

On its September 2014 release date, likely via the IFA Berlin gadget show, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will show off a new form-factor in four colour options and a camera laced with optical image stabilisation as among its fresh killer features plus the likelihood of becoming the first Samsung device to deliver Android L out of the box.
