Galaxy Note 4 Release Should be Samsung's Killer Against the iPhone 6: Samsung vs Apple War Intensifies
September 9 marks a big day for Apple - the same goes for Samsung. As Apple unveils its iPhone 6 offering, the pressure is on Samsung to match the competition and do not lose as much market share. With the Korean tech giant just releasing its Samsung Galaxy Alpha offering, there are now questions whether it will be the ticket to the iPhone 6's threat. Nonetheless, Samsung still has another ticket left to unveil this September: the Galaxy Note 4.
Apple's foray into bigger smartphones threatens Samsung's position immensely especially with the phablet sector. Apple is best known for its premium handsets. According to Nasdaq, Apple poses as a major competitor to Samsung's high-end units. Samsung continually banked on its larger screens but with Apple venturing in the same sector, market shares can eventually drop for the Korean tech giant.
Samsung will not go down without a fight as reports of its upcoming Galaxy Note 4 continue to surface. There are several things people should watch out in the upcoming Galaxy Note 4. The foremost of these include a quad HD display and fresh hardware.
The device will reportedly come with .7-inch Quad HD display. Analysts also expect Samsung to go for a Snapdragon 805 chip although some areas may get the Exynos chip. There is also a reported camera enhancement with Samsung bumping up shooting to 16 megapixels.
There are also reports saying that Samsung may be involved in a possible VR Tie-in. According to reports, the upcoming device will feature a "VRSetupWizardStub" APK file pointing possibilities of a virtual reality headset launch. The two devices will work together for a different user experience. There will also be additional APK files that will offer Quad HD display sypport along with new S Health 3.5 software.
