Galaxy Note 4 on Sept 2014 Release Date is Paired with Samsung Glass Gear – Reports

In time for the Galaxy Note 4 release date, rumoured set on September 2014, Samsung is reportedly packing its next-gen phablet with a wearable device that will be known as the Glass Gear.

The Galaxy maker, according to Business Korea, intends to issue a kit that is quite similar to the Google Glass that enables "people to listen to music with the right ear while looking at the display with the right eye."

The same report indicated too that the Glass Gear launch is somehow parallel to the Galaxy Gear that was rolled out in September 2013 alongside the Galaxy Note 3.

"Following the roll out of our smart watch Galaxy Gear in September last year, we are slated to introduce our smart glass Gear Glass this September," the Korean publication quoted a senior Samsung executive as saying.

It is assumed too that the device, despite running on Tizen OS and having stand-alone features, will be packed with complementing functions and features that are directly connected with the Note 4.

While the Business Korea report did not specifically mention the Note 4, September has been the schedule that Samsung appears to prefer for its second flagship device. It was the case with the Galaxy Note 2 and 3 and each time, the company used the IFA gadget showcase in Berlin, Germany as launch platform.

Also, the notion that Samsung is connecting the Glass Gear with the ill-fated Galaxy Gear added to the assumption that the wearable device is engineered for pairing with the fourth edition of the original phablet.

But the possibility is there too that the Glass Gear will fit too with other high-end Samsung smartphones, foremost of which is the Galaxy S5.

No other details about the companion Note 4 device were offered by the Business Korea report save for pointing out that existing Samsung patents which already gained approval in the United States and South Korea should support the development, actual manufacture and release of the Glass Gear.

The Glass Gear pricing remains a mystery as well though it is expected not to cost as much as the Google Glass, which currently retails in beta version for U.S. buyers at $1500.

As for the Galaxy Note 4, the original phablet is touted to display fresh specs and features on release date - likely bannered by an entirely different form factor, high-end hardware and components, waterproofing capability and Android 4.5 coming right out of the box.
