Galaxy Note 4 UK Launch Delayed By A Week, New Launch Date Is Oct 17
The Galaxy Note 4 was poised to hit the UK markets on Oct 10 but GSMArena claims the launch of the most awaited phablet for UK fans has been delayed. According to the source, a person got in touch with Samsung Mobile through Twitter to confirm the flagship Note 4 launch date. Samsung Mobile replied by stating that the phablet will arrive a week later than the expected the launch date. The new Galaxy Note 4 launch date is set to Oct 17.
The Galaxy Note 4 release date timeline for major countries of the world was made public by Samsung on its Facebook Page. The image clearly shows that the Galaxy Note 4 is supposed to launch in the UK on Oct 10 whereas the phablet is expected to hit most western regions of Europe on Oct 17. It will also come to the U.S. on Oct 17.
PhoneArena states that the reason behind the delay is the is the overwhelming demand for the phablet. A week ago, GSMArena reported that the O2 has already started receiving Galaxy Note 4 preorders. There is no update whether the UK carriers will also delay the launch of Note 4 to Oct 17, but according to the source, even the preorders handsets will be held up.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was first unveiled during the IFA event that was held on Sept 3. It comes with a 5.7-inch quad HD display with 1440 x 2560 pixels. It has a slim body with 8.5 mm surrounded with premium quality metal frame. Powering it is Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor that delivers a clocking speed of 2.7 GHz. It is equipped with 3 GB RAM.
The Galaxy Note 4 is powered by Android v4.4.4 KitKat overlaid with proprietary skin from Samsung, which is also available on the Galaxy S5. The handset also comes with a couple of health sensors and enhanced S-Pen stylus. The rear features a 16 MP camera with OIS and a front-facing camera of 3.7 MP. The expandable storage supports up to 32 GB and the device is packed with a 3,220 mAh battery.
