Galaxy Note 4 vs iPhone 6 Plus: Better Performing Display and Best Overall Screen
Analysts see the iPhone 6 Plus as the game changer for the Cupertino tech giant. While the handset series has been selling like hotcakes, it may have to compete with Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 release. According to recent predictions, Galaxy Note 4 can fight the iPhone 6 head to head. Which is which?
The Galaxy Note 4's pricing plan and features can be considered as a threat to competitors including iPhone 6 Plus. According to MarketWatch, Galaxy Note 4 will be released on October 17 with Sprint one of the first ones to offer it. The Sprint $60 Unlimited Plan1 offers considerable savings that other national carriers do not offer. For instance, the $60 Unlimited Plan is cheaper than T-Mobile's $80 unlimited plan2. Verizon Wireless and AT&T do not provide unlimited data plans.
"Sprint is offering Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with some of the best pricing options for one- and two- line accounts with the Sprint $60 Unlimited Plan," MarketWatch quoted David Owns, the company's senior vice president-Product Development.
"Customers can also get double the high-speed data and up to $60 a month savings for families with the Sprint Family Share Pack."
In another report by Macworld, the iPhone 6 Plus can be considered as the best smartphone with the best display to date but Galaxy Note 4 may have a slight edge over it.
DisplayMate's Raymond Soneira tests a range of smartphone displays. According to Soneira, the iPhone 6 Plus display be can considered as the "best performing smartphone LCD display that we have ever tested." The iPhone 6 changed the standards for LCD display Soneira noted.
However, it does not cement Apple's place on the top just yet. If Apple got the best performing display, Soneira noted: "We recently gave the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 our overall Best Smartphone Display award, and for the time being that continues for all of the reasons originally mentioned there."
The iPhone 6 Plus comes with 1920x1080 pixel display with pixel density at 401ppi. Galaxy Note 4 has 5.7-inch Quad HD (2,560x1,440) Super AMOLED display.
