The Samsung Galaxy Note 5, the successor model for Note 4 is one of the most talked about smarpthones at present. The Galaxy Note 4 was released in September last year and all the predecessor Note series devices were rolled out in the month of September. The Galaxy Note 5 release date is rumoured to happen in the same time frame in this year.

According to Value Walk, now that the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge have been released, the attention of the audience will move towards the Galaxy Note 5. The Galaxy Note 4 has good reception from the audience and critics. Since the Galaxy S5 was met with lukewarm response, Samsung ensured that the Note 4 would helping in generating good revenue thanks to its wonderful appearance and powerful specs.

As reported by the International Business Times, the Galaxy Note 5 will come with a 5.9-inch Quad HD display that will come with support for 4K resolution. As far as the chipset of the device is concerned, it is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset along with 4 GB of LPDDR4 DRAM.

On the contrary, Tech Times reports that the Galaxy Note 5 will be launched in two UHD display variants supporting a screen resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. One will be sporting a 5.89-inch display with support for 762 ppi pixel density. The other model will be a dual-edge variant with a display size of 5.78-inch that will support 748 ppi pixel density.

Will they be launched with monikers Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Note 5 Edge is yet not confirmed by Samsung. Tech Times further reports that it will be available in different native storage variants ranging from 16 GB to 128 GB. The external storage will support up to 128 GB of microSD. An Exynos 7420 chipset variant of Galaxy Note 5 is also expected.

As of this writing, there is no official confirmation on the aforementioned Galaxy Note 5 specs. Like last year, Apple is expected to launch a phablet that is referred to as iPhone 6S Plus or iPhone 7 Plus in this year by the time Note 5 is launched. By releasing the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, the South Korean tech giant has swung back into competition and is poised to make good business with Note 5 than the next iPhone would do for Apple.
