The next big thing from Samsung - purportedly the Galaxy S5 - will surely boast of brimming powerful specs and killer features on its release date, which likely will happen on March 2014, at the earliest.

The same month marks the Galaxy S4 debut this year so it's only fitting for the South Korean tech giant to rollout a very worthy replacement.

The upcoming GS5, as concocted in the minds of designer Rahul Sharma, carries a sleek body-make that hosts its beastly capabilities, thanks to the tandem of a 2.0GHz Exynos 5 8-core processor and 3GB of RAM.

The render is easily an eye-candy, its 5.3-inch screen spilling to both side of the device, betraying the long-rumoured plan of Samsung to use bendable screen technology to its new baby - in this case an OLED YOUM display panel.

And as the front screen is extended to the left and right sides of the smartphone, Mr Sharma saw it fit to do away with the physical control buttons, opting instead to take advantage of screen touch sensors.

According to GalaxyS5Info.com, which first published the concept, "This behavior of the screen is not only meant to provide more evolutionary design, but also to provide a touch sensor based buttons for volume and camera. It will also provide menu shortcuts and other navigational options while you are using apps."

And the same design principle was fully observed in recreating a new Samsung Home button experience, which as one the images show is governed in the concept by touch sensor with matching glow functions for notification purposes.

"Galaxy S5 concept made by us has a renovated home button to deliver a touch sensor based experience, which means no physical home button. The home button glows which make it look even better," said the same report.

Of course, loads of killer features are in store for Sammy Galaxy fans, led by a camera mix of 16MP on rear - equipped with S-Vision optical image stabilisation - and 3.2MP on front, which is able to record clips in 720p.

The storage configuration spans from 32GB to 128GB and to accentuate the handset's minimalism design, the ports are unified, which means charging, SIM and microSD slots are situated in a single device cavity.

Another fresh addition is the Quad Surround Speakers, which when paired with the S-Surround technology will deliver supreme audio entertainment experience minus the annoying spaghetti wires that come with headsets.

Normal operating time, according to the design author, is optimised by up to 50 per cent compared to the GS4, thanks to the inclusion of a massive 3200mAh Li-Ion battery.

All these components will be protected by a unibody frame that is made of aluminium that welds seamlessly with the YOUM front glass and further tempered to provide sufficient proofing against the onset of dust and liquid.

Besides guarding against some natural elements, the GS5 in Rahul Sharma's mind is capable too of withstanding some amounts of neglect and abuse, with its housing blanketed with a shockproof technology.

As the GS5 is meant to skirmish with the iPhone 6 (the render certainly looks like an earlier iPhone 6 concept leaked out this year), its release date is pegged to happen on March 2014, around the same time that the first Apple phablet is rumoured to come out.
