As expected, the Galaxy S5 rumours continue to ramp up as the Samsung's next flagship supposed March-April 2014 release date nears.

The chatter is now focused on a March launch date, en route to the GS5's commercial debut in April. This suggests that Samsung is looking beyond the 2014 MWC that will happen in Barcelona, Spain.

The rationale for the move, according to Sammy watchers, is Samsung wants the Galaxy S5 to enjoy the limelight being its first hero phone for 2014 and true enough, the arguments makes full sense. Once the device is out, it should be the hottest Android toy around, likely bumping the top handsets around off the stage.

How exactly the GS5 does that will depend on its powerful specs and killer features. But with the rumours flying on high gear, it is literally dizzying to sift through the whispered capabilities and weed out the false from the truth.

Now, listed below are the exciting mobile device packages that most likely will come out of the box with the Galaxy S5:

High-resolution 5.2-inch display screen

For sure, Samsung will release the Galaxy S5 with jaw-dropping qualities and Samsung fans expect a big leap from the 1080p resolution that was delivered in the Galaxy S4. Along that line, rumours popped out that the GS5 display panel will render in Quad HD, flashing mightily a 2560 x 1440 resolution that melts the competition.

This indeed was very exciting but another story, according to Gotta Be Mobile, appears to suggest that the earlier reports were exaggerated. The GS5 is more likely to stay in the 1080p sphere.

Regardless of what will come true, it should be safe to assume that any of the 1440p and 1080p GS5 will surely deliver satisfying mobile screen experience.

Fast-charging Galaxy S5

This week, the GS5 is rumoured to come with a 2900mAh battery and along with the energy-efficient Exynos 6 chip in 64-bit, the device is well-positioned for longer operating hours compared to the previous Galaxy S builds.

Yet the more exciting part of the story, according to CNET, is the hint that when re-charging the Galaxy S5 will only require two full hours to pack up the power juice that it needs and could stretch for a day. No doubt, a longer lasting Galaxy S5 will catapult the device to top pedigree smartphone status.

Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition

Recently, the Moto G Google Play Edition became a reality, prompting Gotta Be Mobile to make a bold call: Why not a Galaxy S5, running on native Android, on Google Play Store? Why not indeed when a GS4 GPE had materialised last year.

The forecast makes sense. While tens of millions love the high-end smartphones that Samsung designs and builds in the past few years, they don't necessarily embrace the way the Asian tech giant renders Android.

It is quite remote for Samsung to completely abandon TouchWiz and allow Android to fully flex its muscle through the Galaxy devices so the best compromise would be a Nexus-like build that is pure and pristine Android.

Hopefully though, Samsung and Google wound find a way that will make the GS5 Google Play more accessible unlike its predecessor, the GS4 GPE, that hit the market with the very high price tag.

As mentioned, the Galaxy S5 release date can be expected between March and April 2014.
