Game Of Thrones bosses made sure Emilia Clarke’s dragon would be as impressive, if not more so, than what fans expected. Instead of just utilising computer-generated images of these majestic beasts, the network deviated from what is comfortable and fast to do and actually crafted a 40-ft long monster that has the capability to breathe fire. Even the staff are amazed and scared at the same time.

Daily Star UK reports that Emilia Clarke or Daenerys Targaryen on the “Game of Thrones” series, now has an impressive beast to play with for the show. The show’s visual effects expert, Joe Bauer had came up with a dragon that can breathe 50ft flames and issued a warning against staff, especially British actress Clarke to be more careful or else they can get roasted. Bauer is definitely proud of his creation, wherein he mounted a flame thrower at the end of 15th crane kept inside the body of the prop dragon. “I believe we have made the only true fire-breath- ing monster ever seen on TV or film. When we finished it looked like some kind of weapon from Transformers,” he said.

Executive producer and screenwriter, DB Weiss could not be more proud. According to him, even if stands around 50ft away from the prop dragon, the prop looks real and “amazing.” Moreover, standing that far away does not guarantee anyone from getting roasted as it is still possible to “get a lot more than a nice tan.”

Daily Star UK also learned from a crew member that the heat can be felt in the set even as far as “100 ft away.” The crew also said it is one of the most astonishing props he witnessed. Clarke herself shared that she enjoys actually “playing opposite a proper creature” this time with this impressive prop, unlike before, where she had to interact with something that was not even there.

Certainly, playing with a majestic creature as a dragon was not something she imagined she would do. According to Clarke, who is on the cover of this month's Vogue UK, when she told her father she wanted to become an actress, her father joked that she would end up with a line of a waitress, serving fries. She said she certainly proved her family wrong.
