‘Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke’s Stunt Double On What It Takes To Be The Mother Of Dragons

One of the most recognizable faces in TV today, Emilia Clarke became a household name thanks to HBO’s fantasy series “Game of Thrones.” Fans of the show worldwide can easily identify the "Mother of Dragons" or Khaleesi because of her early role in the TV series.

“Game of Thrones” blended amazing visuals of the series' setting as well as story telling that does not hold back especially when it comes to adult themed content. Emilia Clarke or Daenerys Targaryen is part of the story telling which made the series what it is today.

Even though there are already hard core fans of George R.R. Martin's book series, the HBO adaptation has only boosted its popularity not only for its author but also for their actors.

But just like most TV and movie actors, Emilia Clarke has a body double. It is expected that she would closely resemble the actress physique but photos that surfaced online suggest that Emilia Clarke's body double is strikingly - even eerily similar to her.

Her name is Rosie Mac and she recently made waves online because of the twin-like comparison of the body double to Emilia Clarke. The hair and facial structure are very similar - the fact Rosie Mac is too well aware. In fact, she was chosen to be Khaleesi's body double simply because of her online picture.

"By coincidence I had uploaded an image of me with a similar hairstyle to Khaleesi, and an agent picked it up and sent it in. I got an amazing call saying that I had been chosen as the double of Daenerys. I thought it was a prank call,” she told Elle.

Although Rosie Mac is gaining the attention and fame on her own, she also provides a small glimpse of the workload they have at the set while having fun at the same time. She has to be up and about around 3 to 4a.m. and spend hours on preparing her hair - no makeup needed for her face which makes her a perfect double for Daenerys.

Before her stint at Game of Thrones, Mac has been modeling since the age 14. Although born in England, her family moved to Spain in her pre-teens. Aside from modeling and becoming a body double of one of the most popular characters on TV today, is also a singer as she recently released her single "Done and Finished" in iTunes.
