'Game Of Thrones' Season 5 Episode 3 Spoilers: Sansa's Revenge And Jon Snow's First Act As Lord Commander
The action is starting to heat up in season 5 of the hit HBO series “Game of Thrones,” as the tension is rising between the various warring factions. When will the epic battles begin? Who will die next? These are the questions that the fans continue to wonder about.
Sansa Stark continues her journey with Littlefinger while Jon Snow begins his tenure as Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. Here’s what’s to come in episode 3: [Warning: Spoiler Alert!]
In the episode 3 promo video released by HBO, a tearful Sansa Stark is encouraged by Petyr Baelish or Littlefinger to avenge her family. Sansa’s family has nearly been wiped out by the Lannisters, the Freys and the Boltons. After leaving Robin Arryn in the care of the Lords of theVale, Sansa and Lord Baelish have gone on a little road trip. Now the intention is apparent. Baelish is helping Sansa avenge her family. The episode reveals which of her enemies they will hit first. [video below]
Meanwhile, Sansa’s younger sister Arya has entered the House of Black and White. She has reunited with her old friend Jaqen H’ghar and wishes to begin training to become a face-changing assassin like him. In this episode, Arya finally finds out what happens within the house but will be disappointed to see that it’s not exactly the kind of training that she expected.
In King’s Landing, Cersei Lannister is still dealing with the duties of a Queen. Margaery and Tommen are expected to wed and while Margaery is busy charming Tommen, Cersei will have to deal with the issues of the people. The title of the episode, “High Sparrow,” indicates the appearance of the spiritual leader who is posing a threat to the credibility of the High Septon.
Also in the preview, Lord Stannis warns Jon Snow about his enemies within the Watch. He begins his rule as the Lord Commander and will now have to clear the ranks of any opposition. Also in the North, Roose Bolton and his son Ramsay are still in control of Winterfell with Theon Greyjoy in their midst. With Stannis gearing up to take the North in his quest to take the Iron Throne, Jon Snow’s decision to accept or reject the Lordship of the North as a Stark will become a crucial factor in this episode.
Jon’s decision and the fate of his enemies in Castle Black will also be revealed in Episode 3. In addition to that, Littlefinger’s next move will be revealed when episode 3 of “Game of Thrones” airs this Sunday at 9 p.m. on HBO.
