'Game of Thrones' Season 6: Leaked drone video from production set shows Euron Greyjoy scene
Videos from the production sets of “Game of Thrones” Season 6 in Northern Ireland and in Spain have been leaked online. One of the videos shows scenes from the Iron Islands while the other set of videos features the filming of a scene involving a play. [Spoiler alert]
A drone video posted on the YouTube channel of Eye in The Sky shows the filming of two scenes for the show at Ballintoy, Northern Ireland. One of the scenes involves some of the cast members standing in shallow waters. It is unclear if this is the Kingsmoot scene being filmed.
Pedestrian reports that the video appears to show scenes involving the Greyjoys. The report points out that the landscape of the production set is very similar to the Iron Islands, which is the home to the House Greyjoy.
In a previous interview , Pilou Asbæk (Euron Greyjoy) had said that he was now able to reveal the name of his character on the show because people spotted him filming a scene in Northern Ireland. The scene is said to involve some of the extras shouting “Euron, Euron.”
Filming of “Game of Thrones” Season 6 is also taking place in Girona, Spain. A video posted on the YouTube channel of Carme Bellvert shows one of the scenes being filmed for the show involving a group of theatre troupe members enacting a play.
The play appears to involve a stage actor playing the role of the late king Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy). The character had died in the first season of the show after getting injured by a wild boar. The character was known for his heavy drinking and had also consumed wine before he was wounded by the wild boar.
The video shows the actor playing King Robert repeatedly drinking wine and sitting next to a stage actress who appears to be playing Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). Another video from the same location shows the continuation of the filming of the same scene.
“Game of Thrones” Season 6 is slated to air sometime in 2016. Some of the cast members of the show include Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark,) Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) and John Bradley (Samwell Tarly).
