‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 spoilers: You know ‘everything,’ Jon Snow; Harington still not ready to reveal
“Game of Thrones” fans are well aware of the drama surrounding popular character Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington) fate.
[Spoiler Alert] Last year, he was seen at a Belfast set, which raised hopes of fans that the character may be returning in Season 6 even after his character was apparently killed off in the Season 5 final episode.
Is Jon Snow dead? Is he alive? “Game of Thrones” spoilers have made rounds ever since the last season ended and fans have desperately hoped for his return. Harington kept avoiding the media and later vehemently stated his character is dead and is not coming back. However, in a recent statement, Harington, who loves playing coy with the media, has finally revealed a bit on his fate.
He revealed that he has filmed some of the Season 6 scenes. That is it. He hasn’t revealed anything else and is keeping the secrets to his blood-soaked chest. But then there was the play of words.
“I filmed some scenes of me being dead,” Harington told TimeOut.
The last part has raised questions. How can a celebrity be called to set just to pretend he is dead? Moreover, he was in Belfast for weeks. However, Harington was quite adamant when asked about his role in “Game of Thrones” Season 6.
“Look, I’m not in the show any more. I’m definitely not in the new series,” Harington said.
He added that he doesn’t have a clue about what is in store for fans when Season 6 premieres. Apparently, the only thing he knows is that he is a corpse. He refused to divulge details on what Snow’s corpse would be doing in the new season.
Maybe he is lying, maybe he is not; but Harington was spotted wearing Stark armour and standing strong (not remotely dead). Although some of the fans believe they are Bran Stark’s (Isaac Hempstead Wright) visions, still Harington’s words are not in line with the way he was seen.
“Game of Thrones” Season 6 premieres at 9 PM, Sunday, April 24 on HBO. Aussies can watch the new season on Foxtel, April 25, 11am, Monday.
