Game Watch: Painkiller sequel and Marvel Heroes on June 4, and Firaxis Brings XCOM to iOS
Shooting, zapping, and turn-based tactics are heading to the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and iOS as Painkiller: Hell and Damnation, Marvel Heroes, and XCOM: Enemy Unknown announce their respective release dates.
Marvel Heroes MMO goes to PC
An MMO action RPG I heading for PC this June, and it involves Daredevil, Storm, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and Thing. You have to choose one of the characters and make use of his abilities throughout the game.
Marvel Heroes is now set to for release on the PC on June 4, while Marvel Heroes Founders program customers will get theirs on May 28.
This offer is alongside immediate access to closed beta version and the purchase of packs that include other Marvel heroes like Cyclops, Wolverine, Iron Man, Deadpool, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, The Punisher, and Hulk, to name a few, reports GameSpot.
According to PC Gamer, Marvel Heroes is the project of some of the big names in the industry, including Diablo designer David Brevik and Marvel comic writer Brian Bendis.
Firaxis Games brings an iOS port for XCOM
XCOM: Enemy Unknown is heading for iOS this summer, and what's more, the features that can be accessed on the PC and console version of the game.
Apple Insider reports that this will be a full game, allowing iOS owners to control a division of soldiers fending off an alien force.
"It's a straight port," said XCOm lead designer Jake Solomon to Apple Insider. "We have not made any gameplay exceptions. You play the exact same game... it's just now fully playable on an iPhone or an iPad."
Painkiller: Hell and Damnation gets delayed another time
It's classic shoot 'em up with no talk or walk as Nordic Games readies the sequel Painkiller: Hell and Damnation for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
According to Computer and Video Games, you'll be pitted against enemies and demons, some of which may be too large and intense. But not to worry, as you'll also be armed with weapons that can match with the monsters.
In addition, other features that you can look forward to14 levels of pure shooting rush and 4 challenge Boss levels, 30 creatures straight from hell, an arsenal of weapons, single- ad co-op modes for four chapters, and an Unreal Engine 3 backup power, reports PlayStation Lifestyle.
Painkiller: Hell and Damnation's release has been set back from its original April 5 to a more definitive May 31 for Europe and June 4 for North America.
